St Katharine Docks

SKDocks gives a brief introduction to the history of the area. A London Inheritance have done their usual thorough job with lots of images.

In the 1976 film To the Devil a Daughter Richard Widmark's character has a flat here so you see inside a converted warehouse. Also, during a chase, Widmark gets to operate the retractable Telford Bridge, which is quite slow-going but he still catches the run-away. This was replaced in 1994 so the one on film is earlier, possibly the original?
