Sir Thomas Grosvenor

Member of Parilament. Born at Eaton Hall, Cheshire. In 1665, he succeeded as third Baronet Grosvenor, his father having been killed in a duel in 1661. He married Mary Davies in 1677, receiving the Manor of Eia (or Ebury) as part of her dowry. This area later became Mayfair and Belgravia. Entered parliament in 1679 and raised a force to support King James II in Monmouth's rebellion. Died at Eccleston, Cheshire. Grandfather of Sir Robert.
