Eugène Goossens

Conductor and violinist. Born in Bordeaux. He studied in Bruges and Brussels before moving to Britain. After working with the Carl Rosa Opera Company, he entered the Royal Academy of Music in 1891. Five of his children followed a career in music: Eugene, Marie, Annie Sidonie, Adolphe, Leon.
