Mohammed Anwar Pervez was born on 15 March 1935 in Rawalpindi, India (now Pakistan). Our Picture Source and his Wikipedia page give much information about the man.

He was made an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1992 Queen's Birthday Honours List and created a Knight Bachelor in the 1999 New Year Honours List that was conferred upon him on 9 March 1999.
