Round Hill House

Categories: Property

In living memory this was "very run down and some kind of Labour Party social club."  Elsewhere: "The Sydenham and Forest Hill Social Club ... was in Round Hill House from the 1930s until, I suppose, the 1960s when it was demolished to make way for the small estate that now covers the site of the house and its garden. All that survives from Round Hill House is the spire, and a splendid Cedar of Lebanon."

Robert Harrild lived here in 1829 - see his page for an explanation of "the spire".
