Jet Harris

Musician. Born Terence Harris in Kingsbury. He played with several groups before joining Cliff Richard's backing group The Drifters. At his suggestion they changed their name to The Shadows. He and the group's drummer Tony Meehan left to form a duo and had several hits. After going through bankruptcy and alcoholism, he managed successfully to revive his career. Died in Winchester.
