Jenny von Westphalen

Wife of Karl Marx. Born Germany. Childhood friend of Marx, they married in 1843 and eventually had 7 children of which three survived to adulthood, including Eleanor and Jenny Caroline, the mother of Harry. Their early years were spent in Paris and Brussels but in 1849 moved to London where they remained.
