From Ian Wallis's JustGiving page: "It was Idris Newnham, a boy about my age and a family friend, who had a particular type of muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), which is a genetic disorder that causes muscle weakness. He very sadly died aged 18." The photo shows Idris shortly before he was confined to a wheelchair.

His elder sister was Ania Sian Newnham whose birth was registered in the 1st quarter of 1972 in the Waltham Forest registration district.

He died, aged 17 years, on 18 December 1993 in Highbury, London, E5 his death being registered in the Islington registration district. He was cremated on 23 December 1993 in Islington.
