Alfred Turner

Sculptor. Other works in London include: Fishergirl and Fisherman in the staircase niches at Fishmonger's Hall; three bas-reliefs in Portland stone in the main entrance of the Old Bailey; a memorial to John Constable in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral. There is an American artist Alfred M. Turner (1851–1932) who, on the web, is often confused with our sculptor. AMT's paintings are traditional and "chocolate-boxy" compared with AT's sculptures.
