Building    From 1906

Bromley old town hall - 1906

The 1863 town hall was in the Market Square. In 1906 a new town hall was built in Tweedy Road, immediately south of South Street. Designed by R. Frank Atkinson (see Whiteley Village) and built by F. G. Minter of Putney.

In 1982, when the Council moved their offices to the Old Palace Civic Centre, the old town hall was first used by the Bromley College Business School until 2007. The building then became vacant, but it is now, 2021, being converted into apartments, offices and a boutique hotel.
