Carol Ann Swanson was born on 23 April 1937 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA, the daughter of Walter Clarke Swanson (1908-1961) and Florence Swanson. She was an older sister of Walter Clarke Swanson Jnr. and Gerock Hurley Swanson (1945-1996). Her father was the president of Swanson's Foods.

In September 1960 she married Clark Schiller Rhoden and they had two children: Caroline Lee Rhoden and Melissa Marie Rhoden. The marriage lasted until January 1968 and on 10 January 1969 she married Charles Harry Price II (1931-2012) in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA. They had one son, Charles Harry Price III and lived at both Apartment 10, The Walnuts, 5049 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, and at the Eldorado Country Club, Indian Wells, Riverside County, California, USA.

She died, aged 84 years, on 23 November 2021 in Indian Wells, Riverside County, California, USA, after a valiant battle with cancer according to her obituary on the Telegraph.co.uk website. She was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas CityJackson CountyMissouriUSA.
