Sculpture

Tattersall's auction yard

Erection date: 1957

This sculpture 'Triga' recalls the racehorses that were bought and sold on this site while it was occupied by Tattersalls for almost 75 years. More at Ornamental Passions.

Site: Tattersall's auction yard (1 memorial)

SW1, Knightsbridge Green, 1, Caltex House

Another Nickel in the Machine has a report on how this building, with others, was the target of the Anti-Ugly campaign in 1958.

The 1962 short (about wallpapers) 'Between Those 4 Walls' / 'Between These Walls' has a good shot of this building before the ground floor elevations were updated.
