St Silas cross

Erection date: 1917

Inscription

{On the front of the pedestal:}
Lest we forget

{On the back of the pedestal:}
To the greater glory of God and in loving memory of our brothers who died for England, home and duty in the Great War, 1914.

Unusually this memorial was erected before the end of the war. There may be more but the only other one we know of is at St Botolphs.
