N1, Shepherdess Walk, Packington Bridge
Viewed from the tow path this bridge is modern in design but the plaque was almost certainly erected to mark its opening in the 19th century. Rather oddly the new bridge seems to be narrower than the original. Any information welcome.
Founded here by Elizabeth and Constance Finn, the Distressed Gentlefolk's Aid Association, on 5th May 1897.

The plaque is on the pavement immediately below the 'Gloucester Circus' sign. In our photo the middle bollard is crossing it.
