This plaque, on a small plinth in the front garden, was erected in 1925.

Ruskin lived here 1823-71. In 1909 a plaque was erected on the house. But the house was subsequently demolished and the plaque lost.
The nearby Ruskin Park, named for him, opened in 1907.
