Air Chief Marshal Dowding - SW19 - replacement plaque

Air Chief Marshall {sic}, Lord Dowding, 1882 - 1970, leader of Fighter Command, lived in a house on this site 1941 - 1951.

This plaque (complete with a misspelling) replaces the English Heritage original which was erected on the previous house on this site, the house in which Dowding lived.
