The original building was founded to the north of the present one. Work began on a new cathedral in 1079 and was consecrated in 1093. It has the longest nave of any Gothic cathedral in Europe. See William Walker for the story of how the Cathedral almost sank.

English Buildings has a good short intro to Quakers in England and an assessment of an important Quaker building, albeit, not in London. Quakers were active in the WW2 Kindertransport.
The only Lady Morgan we can find is the Irish novelist Sydney, Lady Morgan (1781? - 1859). In 1833 she spent time in Belgium and then wrote the novel ‘The Princess’ set there, so, it might be her. ...
