Philosopher and sage. Born as Narendra Nath Datta in Calcutta. He became a disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahasa and travelled extensively, mainly to Britain and the U.S.A., promoting his religious beliefs. His collected works were published between 1919 and 1922. Died at Belur Math, West Bengal.
