St Augustine's High School

Founded by Mother Emily Ayckbowm, it originally opened with seven students. The High School opened in 1884 as an all boys' secondary school. In 1969, the present school buildings were opened, and became a Church of England comprehensive school. Alumni include the cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins.
