Shamern Banu Syed

There is some confusion as to the name of this person who was killed on 28 February 1975 in the Moorgate tube disaster. The fakeologist.com website shows the options as: 'Shamin Syed aka Shameen Shamerm Banu Syed aka Shamerm Banu Syed'.

All we could find was that their death was registered as Shamerm Banu Syed in the 2nd quarter of 1975 in the London City Registration District. These records also give 26 November 1949 as their date of birth, making them aged 25 years. We have therefore opted to use this name.

We were uncertain whether this person was male or female but Wikipedia shows that Banu is a Persian name for girls, so we selected female.

It is unknown where her body was buried or cremated. She is shown as 'SYED, SHAMERN' on the Moorgate tube disaster memorial in Finsbury Square, London, EC2.
