In 1966 Laslett, with others from the London Free School, introduced a multi-day Notting Hill street festival in celebration of the cultural mix in the area and was involved in the organisation of the Notting Hill Carnival until the early 70s.

Husbands: Terence A. Laslett, m. 1947 (div.), James O'Brien, m. 1968. Her names have included: Frederica R.A.J. Pulvernes or Gibbons, Laslette.
