Queen Mary II

Categories: Royalty, Seriously Famous

Daughter of James II. Reigned from 1689, jointly with her husband William III, who ruled alone after her death. Born St James Palace. We've heard there are only two statues of her in Britain.

2023: Julie Foster kindly wrote to tell us of the Alexander Munro statue of Queen Mary at the modern extension at the Old Bailey, and of the statue in the Central Lobby of the Houses of Parliament, above the reception desk.  The walls are studded with about 30 monarch statues - swing this virtual tour around until you see the reception desk.

So, with the Hotel Russell statue, that's 3 in London alone.
