According to his obituary, Terence Richard Knapp died, aged 87 years, on 12 August 2019 at St Francis Hospice, 24 Puiwa Road, Nuuanu, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. He was buried on 2 September 2019 in the Diamond Head Memorial Park, 529 18th Avenue, Honolulu.
