Social reformer, OBE, JP. Born 17 Princelet Street. (The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography has "19" but perhaps the street was renumbered when it was renamed from Princes to Princelet Street.) On his death Miriam succeeded to her father's seat on Stepney borough council. First woman Mayor of Stepney, 1931 - 1932. Founded the Brady Girls’ Club in 1925. In this photo of one of their summer camps at Lulworth Cove, Dorset, Miriam is the lady at the back in the hat. On retirement in 1958 she was the honoured subject of the TV show "This is Your Life". Never married. Died at the Middlesex Hospital.
