George Edward Wileman, "Newcastle George"

Widower of Rose.

Our colleague Andew Behan has kindly researched this couple: "Newcastle George", George Edward Wileman was born on 3 December 1919 in Gateshead, County Durham. On the 1939 Register he is shown as living at 12 Parkdale Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire and his occupation is shown as Miller (Engineering). He married Rose Banner in 1940 in Birmingham and their daughter, Janet V Wileman, was born in 1941. The electoral register for 1945 shows them at 29 Woodfield Place, London, W.9, but by 1953, electoral registers and telephone directories show that they were at 8 Allison Road, Acton, until at least 1969. His wife died on 19 May 1980 and her death is recorded at Hammersmith. He died on 18 July 2000 and his death is recorded at Hounslow.
