Finchley Society

Categories: Community / Clubs

Formed to protect, preserve and improve buildings, transport, roads and open spaces in Finchley and Friern Barnet and their environs, and to explore the history and the special features of the area. The Finchley Society covers the old Borough of Finchley and the Urban District of Friern Barnet, now part of the London Borough of Barnet, and takes an interest in most aspects of life in the community.

Spike Milligan was the first President, a post he held until his death in 2002.
