His death was registered as aged 34 years in the 3rd quarter of 1965 in the Brent Registration District, Greater London.
Probate records show that his address had been 485a Green Lanes, Palmers Green, London, N.13. Administration of his estate was granted on 1 October 1965 to his widow and his effects totalled £1,765-0s-0d.
He is shown as 'Fm Donald Owen' on the memorial plaque on the screen wall of the London Fire Brigade Memorial in Highgate Cemetery, Swain's Lane, London, N6 6PJ.
