Behnaz Zahra Nazhand, known as 'Nazy', was born on 18 September 1957 in Shiraz, Iran. She married Nader Mozakka in 1979 and had lived in Finchley, north London for 13 years. Electoral registers from 2003 to 2005 show her listed at 62 Churchfield Avenue, London, N12 0NT. She was a biomedical officer at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Her obituary can be found on the BBC News website.

She died, aged 47 years, on 7 July 2005 when travelling in the underground tunnel of the Piccadilly Line on the London Underground Railway between King's Cross and Russell Square underground stations that was targeted by a suicide bomber.
