James Clarke Lawrence

MP for Lambeth from 1865, and Lord Mayor 1868-9. In 1887 he and his brother Edwin funded a new building in Kensington for the Unitarians, see Essex Street Chapel. His nephew was Frederick Pethick-Lawrence.
