Daughter of the 1st Earl of Clarendon. Born at Windsor Great Park. Midnight on 3rd September 1660, secretly married to the Duke of York (afterwards James II). She seems to have been the leader in the partnership. Mother of Queen Mary (married to William) and Queen Anne and grandmother to the Young Pretender.

Died St James's Palace.
