Niece of James Chamberlain. Cousin of William Pearce. Michelle Foate, Pearce’s great (x3) niece kindly gave us the following information: Hereford House was 12 Pond Street. James Bradley Chamberlain was an optician, whose step-son was William Warburton Pearce, an art dealer. Ann Crump, William's unmarried cousin, was their housekeeper at Hereford House. We think Hereford House used to occupied part of the current site of the Royal Free Hospital, along with Rowland Hill's Bertram House.
