Plaque

St Mary Colechurch

Inscription

Site of St Mary Cole Church, destroyed in the Great Fire 1666.
The Corporation of the City of London

Site: St Mary Colechurch (1 memorial)

EC2, Old Jewry, 36/37

We don't understand why the plaque presents the name as 'Cole Church' since everywhere else it's given as 'Colechurch'.

St. Thomas Becket was born in a house close to this church.
