Site: Richard Everitt memorial - gone (1 memorial)

NW1, Brill Place, Purchese Street Open Space

Richard was 15 when he was stabbed to death, an innocent victim of the local racist gang wars. The murder took place near to this park.

2024: from the CNJ we learnt that this memorial was "neglected and later damaged by the council after it was moved into storage during a regeneration project in Somers Town." Actually a tower block, Grand Central Apartments, was built on the garden. A replacement memorial was unveiled nearby on 17 August 2024, 30 years after the murder.
