Molesey war memorial

Inscription

{Inscribed in the stone of the east face:}
In memory of the men of East & West Molesey who fell in the great war, 1914 - 1919.

{And below, on a bronze plaque:}
Also those who died 1939 - 45.

Going clockwise around the other three faces an alphabetical list of 131 names is inscribed in the stone. See Subjects commemorated.}

Transcribing the names was very difficult and there are probably errors, particularly in the L - P range. This was in addition to the usual difficult-to-distinguish Cs and Gs, and Es and Fs.
