The original Lesney matchbox toys were made just up the canal from here. The Lesney factory produced these toy gems until 1982.

This plaque contradicts English Heritage's rules about erecting only one plaque per person, as there is already one for him in E1.
The plaque can be seen in our photo, below the street lamp.
This may have been some sort of official address but it seems he actually lived in Cannes for those 30 years.
