George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, 1405 - 1468, invincible Albanian national hero, defender of western civilization.

{Right of plinth:}
Placed on: 28.11.2012, Initiated by: David Lloyd, Opened by Mal Berisha Rep. of Albania, Cllr Robert Davis DL and Cllr Susie Burbridge. Supported by: Sebra and Bra, crafted by Kreshnik Xhiku.

The statue was installed as part of the City of Sculpture initiative created by the City of Westminster and was unveiled on the 100th anniversary of Albanian independence. However there appears to be no Albanian connection to explain the choice of this site.

W2, Corner of Inverness Terrace and Porchester Gardens

Another plaque on the wall, in the same style as the Viscountess's, reads: "This garden was refurbished by Westminster City Council in consultation with the Residents of Bayswater, January 1992."
