We're read that this plaque, showing a map of the world, is intended to honour the mosque, which seems odd. To us it seems more symbolic of immigration from many countries into Spitalfields.

In our photo the sunlit plaque can be seen inside the building, between the heads of the travellers passing through the ticket barriers.
