Plaque

Aston Webb at Whiteley Village

Erection date: 1917

Inscription

Architects
The cottages in this opening were designed by Sir Aston Webb RA & Son.

This small enamel plaque looks as if it was installed when the cottages were first constructed. There may be eight versions of this little plaque throughout the village, one for each of the designing architects. If this was London-proper we would have felt duty-bound to find them all, but it was a hot day.
