Anchor / Barclay Perkins Brewery

Inscription

Dr Johnson

Johnson was a good friend of the Thrales who owned the Anchor Brewery which once occupied this site. We've read that this image was the trademark for the brewery (or its successor Barclay Perkins) but we can't corroborate that.
