Actor, playwright, author and director. Born Leslie Steven Berks in Stepney. After studying at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris, he founded the London Theatre Group where he directed his own adaptations of various classics. He has adapted Poe's “Fall of the House of Usher” and “Tell-Tale Heart” for the theatre. In films and the theatre he has mainly been cast in the role of the villain.
