Peckham Peace Wall

Categories: Community / Clubs, Peace

In the aftermath of the London riots of 2011, the Peckham Shed encouraged local residents to put post-it notes on the boards covering the broken windows of the Poundland shop in order to show their respect and solidarity within the community. When the windows were due to be replaced, there was a strong feeling that these tributes should not be lost and eventually a permanent memorial was erected.
