The Kensington Gardens Management Plan informs that the fountain was the gift of 'Mrs Galpin'. We researched this claim, extensively, and could find no Mrs Gilpin who satisfies the evidence, so we think this might be a mistake. See Lady Emily Fortescue, for our evidence.
