Major Robert Rogers

Born in Massachusetts to Irish immigrants. Aged 8 his family moved to New Hampshire. Served in the British Army fighting the French and the native Americans. He created the Rogers' Rangers, who were trained for raiding and close combat behind enemy lines.

Came to London a few times, trying to resolve financial problems but he also succumbed to alcoholism and died a debtor in the Kings Bench Prison.
