A memorial inside St John the Evangelist Church, Notting Hill reads: "In dear remembrance of Philip Edward Webb, architect & Secd. Lieut. Royal Engineers, the youngest son of Sir Aston and Lady Webb. He was killed in action near Morval Sept. 25, 1916 and was buried where he fell, aged 30 years. He was born in this parish & christened here. His life for his country; his soul to God."
