Poet.  Born Lancaster.  Worked at the British Museum and become expert in Chinese and Japanese art. Wrote 'For the Fallen' in 1914. Red Cross volunteer at the Western Front in WW1.  Died in a nursing home, Reading.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
