Lady Dacre

Gentlewoman and benefactress. Born Anne, daughter of Sir Richard Sackville, treasurer to the exchequer of Queen Elizabeth I. She married Gregory Fiennes, who subsequently became 10th Baron Dacre. In her will she made provision for the erection of The Emanual Hospital, as an almshouse and school for poor children. Died in the former house of Sir Thomas More, Chelsea.
