Heroic Self Sacrifice Memorial Committee

Group

Created to oversee the completion of the 'Wall of Heroes' in Postman's Park, members included the vicar and churchwardens of St Botolph's Aldersgate and, we assume, G. F. Watts and Mary Watts at some time. Originally named the Humble Heroes Memorial Committee but renamed at Watts' insistence to remove any class overtones.Minutes Books are held at the London Metropolitan Archives.
