Henry Lygon

Fourth son of 6th Earl Beauchamp. 1907-19 Conservative member of LCC for Finsbury. Chairman of Fire Brigade Committee of LCC 1909-11. Badly injured in a balloon accident while serving in WW1 but continued to be active in politics. Strangely: "1928 he became the licensee of the Hand and Shears, a public house in Smithfield, as part of his work with the Association for the Promotion of Restaurants and Public-Houses in Poor Districts."
