Gary King

Gary King

2015, we were contacted by one of his friends who confirmed that he was a property developer who died shortly after completing the Clink project.

2020: We wondered whether Martin Gary King, a company director who died in the Ladbroke Rail crash, could be this man so we asked our colleague, Andrew Behan, to see what he could find: "The only 'Gary King' I could find who met the 1957-2000 dates was a Daniel Gary King - Born 15/10/1957, Died 20/3/2000. Intriguingly, he has a memorial stone in the Churchyard Garden of Southwark Cathedral, about 200 yards away from the Clink Wharf plaque. His birth was registered in the Worthing, West Sussex registration district. His mother's maiden name was Steele. His death was registered in the West Surrey registration district. He was cremated on 30 March 2000 in Southwark."

With common names identification can be uncertain but, assuming Andrew has correctly found this 'Gary King', that date of death rules out him being the Martin Gary King that died in the Ladbroke Rail crash.
