Guardsman Frederick Horace Davey.   Born in 1916 in Willesden, London, the son of Fitzroy Horace and Violet Annie Davey. His father was a Postman and the family home was at 133 Purves Road, Kensal Rise, London. In October 1933 he was appointed as a Postman Messenger in the London Postal Service and promoted to Sorter in June 1936. He joined the 3rd Battalion Welsh Guards, service number 2737283, and died on war service on the 11th February 1944, aged 27 years. He is buried in Grave Reference V.F.18. in the Minturno War Cemetery, Minturno, Provincia di Latina, Lazio, Italy. Probate was granted to his mother. Effects £532 15s.9d.
